iGD Sport are delighted to announce the sponsorship of Manchester boxer Jake 'The Jackal' James, ahead of the boxer's 10th professional fight, taking place in Bolton this weekend.
James is trained by former Manchester boxing legend, and former Lightweight World Champion, Anthony Crolla.
iGD Sport is a compression sportswear brand, founded by former Rugby League player Andy Wray. The product is highly technical, allowing you to train harder and recover from training faster, due to the compressive nature of the materials used within the products.
As a result, the brand is a go-to for many global boxers, including former world welterweight champion Shawn Porter, as well as UK favourites, such as Kell Brook and Josh Warrington.
The brand partnership between iGD Sport and Jake is perfect timing with iGD Sport recently launching a new collection through the website www.igdsport.com, having previously only produced for professional athletes.
Of the partnership, Brand Manager Zeri Cheetham-Karcz said:
"It's great to be involved with Jake so early in his career.
"We have worked with some of the best boxers in the world, but we also understand the importance of backing the next generation of talent, and Jake sits perfectly within this space.
"We have high hopes for him!"

Jake's 10th professional fight takes place on the 12th March at the Bolton Whites Hotel.
Brand Manager at iGD Sport, Zeri Cheetham-Karcz says:
"It's great to be involved with Fes so early in his career. We have worked with some of the best boxers in the world, but we also understand the importance of backing the next generation of talent, and Fes fits the bill.
HIs story is also extra powerful given where he started, not to mention he likes to do things differently, fighting out of the US all the way from his Yorkshire roots, something we aim to do too as a sportswear brand of the future!”
